Job summary

GS1 Canada is seeking a Senior Product Designer to craft end-to-end experiences across its digital product ecosystem. You will work from discovery through delivery and measurement, partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and industry stakeholders to translate problems into user-centered solutions.

Design flows, wireframes, and prototypes, contribute to the design system, and ensure accessibility meets WCAG 2.2 AA and AODA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing digital products in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating approach to problem solving and excellence in interaction and visual design.
• Experience designing complex enterprise or SaaS applications, especially data-heavy workflows.
• Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design capabilities.
• Experience planning and conducting customer research, usability testing, and design validation.
• Systems thinking with ability to reduce complexity and maintain design systems.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and inclusive design practices.
• Proficiency with Figma and FigJam; familiarity with Storybook, Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Working understanding of HTML and CSS to collaborate with front-end developers.
• Strong facilitation, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in discovery to define customer problems and opportunities.
• Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready specs.
• Plan and run usability testing with customers and stakeholders; use data to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to GS1 Canada’s design system and ensure accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership; lead workshops and design reviews.
