Nova Scotia Health Authority in Halifax is seeking a Utility Worker for a temporary, long-assignment role within FMS Housekeeping QEII. You will maintain hospital cleanliness, including cleaning, mopping and dusting across all areas, with floor care and carpet/shampoo tasks as needed.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Utility Worker maintains the cleanliness of the hospital. Activities include cleaning, mopping and dusting all areas in the hospital. Other work would include floor care (scrubbing and waxing floors), shampooing of carpets and chairs, waste removal (hazardous waste and regular waste), chemical spill cleanup, laundry tasks, room set-ups, window cleaning (interior), some salt application during winter months, isolation room cleaning, flood and bloodspill clean ups.
