Nova Scotia Health is seeking a General Worker for the Northern Zone, Colchester East Hants Health Centre. The role involves cleaning and servicing assigned areas to ensure safety and a healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Some handling of infectious materials may be required with proper PPE, and frequent contact with water and cleaning/disinfecting chemicals may occur. Requirements include Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience, strong verbal, reading and writing skills,
The General Worker cleans and services their assigned areas to ensure safety, health and morale of patients, visitors and employees. The general worker assists patients’ recovery by helping to provide a clean, attractive, safe environment with minimal interference to others. This position may require some handling of infectious materials (with proper Personal Protective Equipment) and may require frequent contact with water and strong cleaning/disinfecting chemicals.
