Job summary

Vortex Freight Systems in Mississauga, ON, seeks a proactive US Carrier Sales Manager to optimize capacity planning and execution across North America. This on-site role partners with carrier partners, operations, and planning teams to meet service and cost targets.

You will manage capacity, support load planning with preferred carriers, and monitor carrier performance to drive continuous improvement. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in logistics or transportation, 3PL preferred.
• Familiar with load planning and carrier sourcing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with multiple priorities.
• Willing to work Canadian stat holidays; cross-border coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage capacity team and monitor daily load volumes to optimize coverage and costs.
• Support load planning by securing transportation capacity with carriers.
• Track carrier performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Coordinate with dispatch, terminal and warehouse teams to meet service and cost targets.
• Assist with onboarding of new carriers and ensure compliance documents are collected.
