Job description

ADP is hiring a Upgrades Senior Implementation Specialist - Payroll

In this role, you will upgrade clients from legacy platforms to the current ADP Canada flagship platform

As a Upgrades Senior Implementation Specialist - Payroll, you will lead or manage projects within and across our business by completing an end‑to‑end process to ensure project completion or successful go‑live on time, within scope, and with quality and accuracy.

You will partner with existing clients to understand their business needs, analyze their current system setup, interface requirements, and business processes, and guide them toward a successful upgrade project.

To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality, be adaptable to change, and build professional rapport with clients. Your communication style should be clear and concise, both verbally and in writing, ensuring clients can easily act on your guidance.

What you’ll do
  • Implement Payroll. You will follow a detailed end‑to‑end process guide and use automated tools from kickoff to go‑live/transition, covering payroll analysis, payroll interview, configuration request, employee load, testing, year‑to‑date load, payroll parallels, and netsecure migration, supported by the Implementation Team Lead and support team.
  • Manage projects. For projects without an assigned PM, you’ll handle project delivery and execution for mid‑market client implementations, from initial identification to hand‑off to the Client Service Delivery team, while planning, leading, and motivating a cross‑functional team.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert. Lead comprehensive project plans, identify risks, and execute best practices and industry‑leading methodology.
  • Partner internally. Communicate with project stakeholders, including ADP leadership and client teams, and transfer your knowledge and skills to other Implementation team members.
  • Build and maintain relationships. Manage strong relationships with stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors, ensuring delivery expectations are defined and met, and maintain a referenceable customer relationship.
General Responsibilities
  • Thorough understanding of upgrade implementation processes and methodology.
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts from project initiation to close.
  • Record and manage project deliverables, risks, and actions.
  • Managing project risks and escalations to resolution; develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive implementation project plan.
  • Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, highlighting critical issues and overall project status.
  • Support the client through all phases of the upgrade as required.
  • Assist the client with training enrollment and follow‑up on training completion.
  • Guide the client through change‑management activities and recommend best practices.
  • Provide on‑site product overview sessions, if required.
  • Offer ongoing payroll consulting support to assigned clients until transition to client services.
  • Ensure a clean transition to client services upon project scope completion.
  • Commit to a team environment with a positive approach and cooperation.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all project‑related issues and escalations.
  • Actively manage plans, dependencies, scope, risks, issues, and quality, delivering projects in line with overall commitments.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions on scope‑boundary issues.
  • Monitor and report on project traction and progress, coordinating corrective or contingency plans as needed.
  • Build and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Maintain stakeholder relations to ensure clarity of delivery expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll, HR, or implementation.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • General technical knowledge of operating systems and networking infrastructures, including internet concepts.
Bonus Points

  • Project management knowledge or discipline.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP products.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
Benefits
