Job description

ADP is hiring a Senior Implementation Specialist – Payroll (Upgrades). This role upgrades clients from legacy platforms to the current ADP Canada flagship platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Payroll: follow a detailed end‑to‑end process guide and leverage automated tools from project kick‑off to go‑live/transition to service, including payroll analysis, interview, configuration request, employee load, testing, year‑to‑date load, payroll parallels, and netsecure migration, with support from the Implementation Team Lead and support team.
• Manage projects: for projects without an assigned PM, manage delivery and execution from initial identification to hand‑off to the Client Service Delivery team, and lead and motivate a cross‑functional team to implement projects in support of ADP Sales.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert: lead and manage comprehensive project plans, identify risks and issues, and execute best practices and industry‑leading methodology.
• Partner internally: communicate with project stakeholders, including ADP leadership, client teams, and transfer knowledge to other Implementation team members.
• Build and maintain relationships: manage strong, healthy relationships with stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors to ensure delivery expectations are clearly defined and met.

General Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of Upgrade Implementation processes and methodology.
• Managing a portfolio of accounts from project initiation to close.
• Record and manage project deliverables, risks, and actions.
• Managing project risks and escalations to resolution; develop, manage and maintain a comprehensive Implementation Project Plan.
• Provide regular implementation status reports to stakeholders, highlighting critical issues for management and overall project status.
• Support client through all phases of the Upgrade as required.
• Assist client with training enrollment and follow up on training completion.
• Guide client through planning change‑management activities and recommend best practices.
• Proficient at providing on‑site product overview sessions, if required.
• Provide ongoing payroll consulting support to assigned clients until transition to Client Services.
• Follow through on all aspects of the Upgrade project scope to ensure a clean transition to client services.
• Commitment to a team environment demonstrating a positive approach and cooperation.
• Act as a single point of contact for all project‑related issues and escalations.
• Actively manage plans, dependencies, scope, risks, issues, and quality, and deliver projects in line with overall commitments.
• Manage project scope, investigate and make recommendations on issues challenging scope boundaries.
• Monitor and report on project traction and progress; coordinate corrective action and contingency plans as needed.
• Build and effectively manage multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage stakeholder relations to ensure project delivery expectations are clearly defined and met; build and maintain a reference‑able customer relationship.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll, HR, or implementation.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong Excel skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• General technical knowledge of operating systems and networking infrastructures, including general internet concepts.

• PCP certification completed or in progress.
• Project Management knowledge or discipline.
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or other ADP product experience.
• Bilingual French and English.
