Job summary

The University of British Columbia's Faculty of Arts is seeking a Support Coordinator to join the Audio Visual and Information Technology Support team. The role provides audiovisual and IT support for administrative, teaching, and research needs across roughly thirty departments, schools, and units, serving over 800 faculty, 600 staff, and 13,000 students.

You will work with Heads of departments, collaborate with external consultants, and handle desk-side and remote support, training users,

Qualifications

• Experience providing tier 1 desktop support and basic IT service desk functions.
• Experience in training users on software and hardware.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist users both remotely and in person to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot systems.
• Deploy hardware, software, networking and security updates.
• Maintain inventory and docs per standards.
• Provide training and write documentation.
• Support classroom and labs with IT services.
