Job summary

Gate Gourmet Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Unit Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced production environment. You will ensure safety, policy compliance, labor control and team leadership to drive performance across the unit.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking and excellent communication, with a track record in improving efficiency and managing a sizeable staff in a multi-site setting. High-volume food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; four years' comparable operations management experience.
• Minimum five years of safety experience, preferably in a multi-site setting.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Proven leadership, organizational and analytical abilities; capable of managing a large staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day unit operations ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor safety programs and audits; ensure adherence to policies.
• Lead labor controls and workforce planning for the unit.
• Support quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
