Qualifications

  • 3+ years of claims adjusting experience and 2+ years of team management preferred.
  • Solid understanding of property insurance workflows is an asset.

About the role

We’re looking for a Unit Claims Manager, Property, to join our growing team!

This full-time permanent opportunity can be based in either Calgary or Edmonton.

What you'll do here:

  • Manage a team of inside property adjusters with different levels of experience and tenure.
  • Deliver on our employee promise by motivating and engaging his/her team.
  • Contribute to the achievement of our strategic objectives by measuring the performance of his or her team, ensuring the quality of claims processing, the level of compliance with standards, procedures and productivity.
  • Manage the activities of his/her team, while promoting teamwork and providing technical training.
  • Participate in the improvement of operational processes.
  • Make decisions for his/her team regarding the processing of claims and the payment of indemnities in accordance with company standards.
  • Promote the brand image and business principles to partners.
  • Conduct active file reviews throughout the year.
  • Manage customer and broker escalations and coach team members on customer feedback.


What you bring to the table

  • Minimum 3 years of claims adjusting experience
  • Minimum 2 years of team management experience preferred, or proven success of leading and motivating others
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Cares about people and supports career development
  • Solid understanding of property insurance wordings and workflows is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills and time management
