Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) is seeking an Ultrasonographer for a permanent part-time role within the Mississippi River Health Alliance. The incumbent reports to the Clinical Manager/PACS Administrator and performs ultrasound exams, ensuring high-quality images and patient care.

Start date: 2026-03-18. Requires graduation from an accredited ultrasonography program with Sonography Canada membership and hospital experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved and accredited school of ultrasonography with current Sonography Canada membership.
  • Commitment to excellence, quality, patient and employee safety.
  • Previous hospital ultrasonography experience.
  • Ability to perform abdomen, pelvis, endovaginal, scrotal, thyroid, DVT, obstetrical, carotid and shoulders ultrasounds; vascular imaging preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional standards and independent work ability.
  • Commitment to continuing education and capacity to meet physical and cognitive demands.

  • Organize and perform the ultrasound examinations requested by physicians.
  • Maintain high quality images and documentation while ensuring patient care.

Almonte GeneralHospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital created theMississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to formalize their commitmentto work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall health careexperience through a strong, coordinated system of care. An integrated SeniorTeam leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark CountyParamedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH. Over 600 caring staff,physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long-term care tocitizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.

JobDescription

Reporting tothe Clinical Manager/PACS Administrator, the incumbent is responsible fororganizing and performing the ultrasound examinations requested by physicians,to maintain and document high quality images, and practice good patient care.

BasicRequirements
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited school ofultrasonography with current membership in the Sonography Canada.
  • Commitment to excellence, quality, patient andemployee safety.
  • Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer in ahospital environment.
  • Must be able to perform abdomen, pelvis,endovaginal, scrotal, thyroid, deep vein ultrasound (DVT) and obstetrical.Carotid and shoulders preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalstandards in all areas of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently withminimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
  • Ability to meet demands of the job, bothphysical and cognitive.
PreferredQualifications
  • Previous experience in vascular imaging.
