Job summary

The Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) is seeking a casual Ultrasonography Technologist to organize and perform ultrasound examinations requested by physicians, maintain high quality images, and provide compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include a range of studies such as Abdomen, Pelvis, Endovaginal, Scrotal, Thyroid, Doppler and Echocardiography.

Requires graduate ultrasound training with active membership in Sonography Canada/ARDMS/CMRITO and ability to work

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved and accredited school of ultrasonography with current membership in Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS and CMRITO.
• Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer in a hospital environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional standards in all areas of work.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.

Responsibilities

• The incumbent organizes and performs the ultrasound examinations requested by physicians; to maintain and document high quality images; and practice good patient care.
• Exam requests may include Abdomen, Pelvis, Endovaginal, Scrotal, Thyroid, Deep Vein Ultrasound, Obstetrical, Shoulder, Carotid, Echocardiography.
