Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a motivated truck & coach technician to join its service department. You’ll diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair medium and heavy-duty trucks to keep equipment running reliably.

Ideal candidates have a G-class license, knowledge of truck parts and DOT/MTO rules, and may hold 310T/310J licenses or related training. Safety, efficiency, and accuracy are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates from Truck & Coach Technician or Motive Power Technician courses.
• Valid G-class driver's license with clean driving record.
• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment and repairs.
• Familiarity with DOT/MTO rules is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and diagnose problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, brake repairs, and electrical diagnostics on medium and heavy duty trucks.
• Repair and recondition equipment to keep it running efficiently.
• Return equipment to service in a cost-effective manner.
• Follow Charger safety procedures at all times.

We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Dorval office.

Responsibilities:

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
• Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures

• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset
• Freshers graduated from Truck & coach technician course or Motive Power technician course
• Valid G-class driver’s license with clear driving record
• Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset
• Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner
