Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is expanding its Brampton office and seeks a motivated individual for the Service Department to support maintenance and diagnostics of medium and heavy duty trucks. You will work on inspections and repairs to keep equipment running efficiently and safely.

Based in Brampton, the role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Charger Logistics emphasizes growth and supports employee development.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Mechanic with knowledge of shop practices and the ability to diagnose mechanical problems.
• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset.
• Valid G-class driver's license with clear driving record.
• Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving ability with quick, timely solutions.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
• Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures
