Job summary

Maxim is seeking an experienced Truck & Transport Mechanic in Brandon, MB. Earn up to $46.00 per hour with shift options and a relocation assistance program.

You will diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers, perform preventive maintenance, and document repair work while maintaining a clean, safe shop. Required: 5+ years in the trade, Journeyperson (Red Seal preferred), PMVI certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years? experience as a Truck & Transport Mechanic.
• Journeyperson Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• PMVI certification (Periodic Mandatory Vehicle Inspections)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to Interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in the trade
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers (when required)
• Complete preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
• Update the Service Manager on estimated completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM OR 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with rotation on Saturdays every three weeks (depending on shop requirements)
