Maxim Truck & Trailer Inc. in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Technician. The role focuses on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with the ability to identify issues early and recommend replacements or repairs.

The candidate will contribute to high customer satisfaction and be a valued member of Maxim’s team. The position requires a 2-week rotation of day and evening shifts, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for ongoing

Qualifications

• 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman designation.
• Safety inspections certificate an asset.
• Team player with strong commitment to the customer.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tools.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Identify potential and future problems.
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts.
• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes.
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed.
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY-DUTY TRUCK & TRAILER TECHNICIAN for our Edmonton Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete diagnostics, service and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team!

Hours:

Two-week rotation of day and evening shifts required

o Week 1: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

o Week 2:3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers
