Job summary

Maxim Truck & Trailer Inc. is seeking a Heavy Duty Truck Technician for our Prince Albert location. You will diagnose, service and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, working independently to ensure quality and timeliness.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, identifying future problems, recommending repairs, road-testing units, and maintaining detailed repair orders.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice working toward Journeyman.
• Safety Inspections Certificate an asset.
• Willingness to continually upgrade trade skills.
• Valid Class One with Air Driver's License an asset.
• Strong customer service mindset and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers
• Identify potential and future problems
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY DUTY TRUCK TECHNICIAN for our Prince Albert Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete the diagnostics, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers. This is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team!

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers
• Identify potential and future problems

• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed

Ideal Qualifications

• 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman Designation
• Safety Inspections Certificate an asset
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
• Valid Class One with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
• Team player with strong commitment to the customer
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tools
• Reliable transportation to and from work (no bus service)
