Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Journeyperson Truck & Trailer Technician (310t or Red Seal) to perform routine maintenance, complex repairs on semi-trucks, trailer alignments, diagnostics and electrical work at our Saint John, NB store. Qualifications

• Fully licensed Heavy Duty Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal or 310t)
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks and wheel alignments
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical services including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance
• Mentor and coach apprentices to develop their skills
• Collaborate with a skilled team on vehicles from standard cars to light trucks
• Identify service opportunities in partnership with Sales team
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all tasks

We’re looking for Journeyperson Truck & Trailer Technician (310t or Red Seal) to perform routine maintenance, complex repairs on semi-trucks, trailer alignments, diagnostics, electrical work, install bushings, kingpin shocks, and more. This full-time, permanent role is based in our Saint John, NB, store.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as a Heavy Duty Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified or 310t certified
• A valid driver’s license
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
