Job summary

Kal Tire in Golden, BC is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on a range of vehicles.

This full-time role offers a clear path to becoming a Lead Technician, with a focus on safety, quality, and ongoing development within a structured, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal) or currently progressing through the TBA program at Level 3-4.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of mechanical services including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices, supporting skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
