Job summary

Kal Tire in Golden, BC seeks a skilled Automotive Service Technician to maintain and repair diverse vehicles, from cars to light fleets. The role offers a clear career path and growth within a safety-first shop environment.

As a full-time technician, you will mentor apprentices, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with a team to uphold quality standards. Starting wages are $40.00–$45.00/hr with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal or currently progressing through the TBA program at Level 3-4).
• A valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
