Job summary

Armour Transportation Group in Moncton, NB is seeking a Trip Assistant to help move freight across road, rail, and sea. You will be the behind-the-scenes hero ensuring smooth operations, coordinating with drivers and customers, and maintaining paperwork and trip details.

With days rotation from 7:00pm to 7:00am and a pay rate of CAD 20–22 per hour, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to efficient transit planning and continuous improvement across supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Keep safety and operational procedures top of mind in all you do.
• Collaborate with business partners and customers to keep freight moving.
• Maximize equipment use and avoid unnecessary costs through smart planning.
• Support multimodal transit across trucks, vessels, and rails.
• Help plan cost-effective, efficient transit routes.
• Keep drivers informed and equipped with all paperwork and trip details.
• Track shipments, troubleshoot delays, and work with carriers to keep things moving.
• Take care of admin tasks like billing, RV creation, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve and share them with the team.
• Jump into meetings, training, and team huddles to stay aligned.
• Help plan driver vacation coverage and update leadership on transit visibility.
• Support the Multimodal Operations Manager as business needs evolve.
