Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. in Brampton is hiring a Trimmer/Deboner (Butcher) for the Goreway Plant. The role involves meat cutting and trimming and assisting production on the line during the afternoon shift. This position is located at 10 Armthorpe Road, Brampton, Ontario.

Wages start at $26.21/hour, rising to $27.21/hour after probation, plus a $1.00/hour shift premium, annual increases, a $1000 referral bonus, and full benefits with pension after probation.

Qualifications

• Must have experience using knives or be able to master knife skills.
• Good communication in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to follow and execute instructions from managers/supervisors.
• Attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meat cutting and trimming.
• Lift up to 25 kg.
• Assist Lead Hand in assembling equipment for production.
• Sharpen knives for both shifts.
• Other duties as required.

Shift Time

Afternoon shift – 2:30PM – 11:00PM

What we have to offer

• $26.21 /hour to start - $27.21 /hour after probation (3 months)
