Job summary

Nisa Foundation in Vancouver is seeking a Transitional Housing Support Worker to provide trauma‑informed, resident‑centred support for women and families in our transitional housing program.

You will engage residents, perform intakes and assessments, connect them with housing, health, education and social services, and help them maintain housing stability while fostering a safe, respectful living environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in a related human/social service field such as Social Work, Social Service Work, or Child and Youth Care Work.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain case notes and reports.
• Experience with case management, assessment, and advocating for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, resident-centered support to women and families in transitional housing.
• Assist residents with housing stability, safety, independence, and wellbeing.
• Conduct intakes, assessments, and ongoing wellness checks.
• Connect residents with housing, employment, education, and health services.
• Assist with program operations, documentation, and shift handovers.
• Collaborate with Home Manager, Child & Youth Worker, and community partners.
