Key Duties:
  • Maintain cost-effective bus routes, track and update as student needs change

  • Administer and track district fuel cards

  • Arrange training for department staff as needed

  • Make safety decisions during inclement weather and emergencies, including driving routes

  • Perform on-call duties as required

Qualifications & Attributes:
  • Minimum Grade 12 education; Journeyman Mechanic preferred
  • Vehicle Inspection Certification preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of BC Motor Vehicle Act and CVSE regulations
  • Ability to organize work, plan, and prioritize maintenance and repairs
  • 3-4 years recent management or leadership experience
  • Valid BC Class 2 driver’s license with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check
  • Thorough knowledge of school transportation requirements
