Key Duties:

• Maintain cost-effective bus routes, track and update as student needs change
• Manage and maintain bus fleet and maintenance department vehicles and equipment
• Hire, manage, and oversee transportation staff including drivers, mechanics, and dispatchers, ensuring safety and efficiency
• Prepare monthly pay statements for bus contractors and reimbursements for bus drivers
• Ensure all district vehicles are properly licensed, insured, and inspected
• Administer and track district fuel cards
• Assist in setting up and monitoring the department’s annual budget

• Arrange training for department staff as needed

• Thorough knowledge of BC Motor Vehicle Act and CVSE regulations

• 3-4 years recent management or leadership experience
• Valid BC Class 2 driver’s license with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check
