Job summary

Kelly Services (Canada), Ltd. in Burlington, ON is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead day-to-day transportation operations, safety/compliance, and cost controls.

You will drive route planning, supervise staff, and ensure timely delivery while upholding a customer-first approach. The role involves coordinating with branch managers, managing vehicle maintenance and cross-border deliveries where applicable, and developing the transportation strategy to meet budgets and performance goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; logistics diploma is an asset.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles and customer orders.
• Developing efficient drivers schedules/routes to maximize profits, provide oversight to route planning.
• Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff/shipments.
• Resolve or escalate any issues that affect productivity for flow.
• Oversee cost control; control spending so it is consistent with approved budgets, capture and present data for continual cost controls and areas of savings.
• Review and approve driver's timecards in ADP payroll software.
