Job summary

Republic Services in Canada is seeking a Supervisor Transportation to oversee daily transportation activities, including CDL drivers, route planning, and compliance with TDG, EPA, DOT and other regulations. You will develop schedules, assign routes, monitor costs, and mentor the team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

This role requires 4–7 years in maintenance, transportation, driving and operations, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-border shipping knowledge.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of personnel management and operations.
• Knowledgeable in Provincial, Federal, State, and Local regulations concerning transportation matters.
• Knowledge of TDG, ECCC, EPA, and DOT regulations and of transportation principles and best practices.
• Investigate complaints, analyze information, and recommend resolutions; use computer tech for communication, data gathering and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CDL drivers and plan schedules and routes.
• Maintain vehicle fleet and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff; manage performance.
• Coordinate cross-border shipping and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor costs to keep below budget.
