Job summary

Stella-Jones Inc. is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee all phases of logistics operations across Canada and USA, ensuring safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance. The role supervises Logistics Coordinators, optimizes routes, and manages yard inventory and carrier relationships.

You will track freight movements, report on performance, and collaborate with drivers, customer service, and yard staff. Travel for cross-training and coverage is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall logistics work experience.
• 2+ years of specialized trucking and rail experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Passport.

Responsibilities

• Optimize delivery routes and improve efficiency across operation, delivery, and yard.
• Plan and execute delivery operations across locations.
• Manage freight spend for the region and team.
• Supervise dispatching drivers and inbound/outbound carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective service.
• Monitor truck and rail movements to ensure on-time pick up and delivery.
• Resolve issues with drivers and customers related to service, paperwork and permits.
• Develop sourcing strategies for freight lanes and optimize carrier mix.
• Provide on-call support for drivers and storm response as needed.
• Oversee Finished Goods Yard inventory with regular cycle counts.
