Job summary

SecondShop in Canada seeks multiple Logistics / Dispatch Coordinators for Burlington, ON, Regina, SK, and Delta, BC to support outbound logistics. You will coordinate carriers, track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and keep teams informed to ensure on-time movement and accountability.

We look for 3+ years in logistics, a high school diploma (post-secondary in logistics asset), and strong MS Office skills. French/English bilingual is a plus.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and drivers.
• Track shipments and provide real-time status updates in systems.
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, and issues to customers and teams.
• Present carrier scorecards and drive performance and accountability.
• Identify and onboard new carriers as needed.
• Maintain lane-based rate cards and carrier contact details.
• Ensure shipping documentation is complete and compliant.
• Investigate delivery exceptions and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on delivery performance and lead times.
• Work Tuesday-Saturdays regularly.

Job description

We’re looking for multiple Logistics / Dispatch Coordinators in Burlington, Ontario, Regina, Saskatchewan and Delta, BC to play a critical role in the day-to-day execution of our outbound logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating carriers and drivers, tracking shipments, resolving delivery issues, and ensuring clear communication across teams. You’ll sit at the heart of our logistics engine, ensuring shipments move on time, carriers are held accountable, and issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and drivers
• Track shipments and maintain accurate, real-time status updates in internal systems
• Proactively communicate delivery updates, delays, and exceptions to customers and internal teams
• Present and follow up on weekly carrier scorecards, driving performance and accountability
• Identify, source, and onboard new carriers as needed
• Maintain accurate lane-based rate cards, carrier contact details, and escalation protocols
• Ensure all shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with transportation regulations
• Investigate and resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries promptly
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on delivery performance, lead times, and carrier reliability
• Work Tuesday-Saturdays regularly

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination
• Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset
• Organisation & Communication: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with multiple stakeholders. Bilingual in French/English considered a big asset, but not essential
• Technical Skills: Comfortable using MS Office and logistics / transportation management systems
• Problem Solving: Able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and resolve issues quickly
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with carrier operations and transportation regulations
