Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Edmonton is seeking a Transportation Support Services professional to maintain, improve, and construct departmental processes. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with duties including processing fleet repair POs, coordinating with the Fleet manager, and handling payroll-related paperwork for Transportation staff.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience in Transportation/support roles at a similar company.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process POs for fleet repairs and coordinate with Fleet Manager.
• Compile weekly paperwork for Transportation staff and submit payroll.
• Assist with incentive and scorecard data for service reps and payroll submission.
• Respond to emails to resolve driver/customer issues.
• Maintain trip reports and mileage records; update changes.
• Record assets in and out of the office and track shipments.

Position Summary:

Responsible for all Transportation support services for Gordon Food Service. This will include maintaining, improving, and constructing departmental business processes. Please note this is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Schedule: 8AM - 4:30PM | Monday - Friday

Essential Functions:

• Completes POs for Fleet repairs, as well as other equipment repair coordination with Fleet manager Ariba approvals and freight audits
• Compiles weekly paperwork for Transportation employees and submits to payroll to ensure accurate pay on time.
• Assists with incentive and scorecard information for service representatives and submission for payroll
• Answers emails to resolve problems or concerns for Drivers/Reps/Customers.
• Maintains trip reports and mileage records and reports changes.
• Driver check in/out
• Record keeping of assets coming in and out of the office
• Documenting deficient paperwork
• Communicating late routes via email to sales/customer care/transportation/ELT
• Highlight and record concerns and issues through the Customer & Driver Experience Tracker
• Tracking incoming uniform packages and ensuring they are distributed to the correct individuals
• Other duties as assigned
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Gordon Food Service

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Demonstrated experience working in an effective, results-focused team environment. Prefer 2 years minimum GFS experience
• Proven ability to organize and manage time effectively, handling multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient and adept in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Forms, Slides, etc.).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills for developing innovative solutions.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities requiring ingenuity and innovation.
• Flexibility to work statutory holidays as required, subject to change based on business needs.
• Use of programs include Samsara, Performance View, CP Suite, Google Apps and more

Education and Experience:

• High School / Equivalent
