Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Transmission Lines Designer to drive design for high-voltage transmission projects. You’ll apply your engineering credentials to resolve complex obstacles, deliver compliant designs, and contribute to capital initiatives.

The role requires a civil/structural/mechanical engineering degree, 5+ years in transmission projects, proficiency in PLS-CADD and CAD, and strong English communication. French is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in transmission projects
• Proficient in design/analysis software (PLS CAD) and CAD systems
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent English communication (French is an asset)

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions for medium complexity utilities projects
• Assist project/operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and schedule targets
• Resolve technical and unusual design and field engineering problems
• Contribute to engineering practices by developing standards and providing guidance
• Deliver engineering scope with clients and report progress against standards
