Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking an Engineer to work on power transmission line structures within our Energy & Resources team in Canada. You will contribute to studies, prepare technical reports, and supervise technical staff under project management guidance, advancing your technical expertise across projects nationwide.

We value collaboration, entrepreneurship, and flexible, hybrid work arrangements. A university degree in civil engineering and English fluency are required, with assets for PLS software

Qualifications

• University degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience in structural design (steel/concrete) or power transmission lines.
• Knowledge of PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER) is an asset.
• Experience in substation or line structure design is an asset.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Autonomy, initiative and ability to work in a team.
• Experience in project management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of project managers, take charge of specific aspects of projects related to power transmission line structures.
• Prepare studies and write technical reports and estimates.
• Prepare information for drafting.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and draftsmen involved in the projects for which he or she is responsible.
• Ensure quality control of project-related practices
• Manage files: planning and administrative follow-up
• Participate in the preparation of service offers
• Visit project sites and participate in the supervision of construction sites (when required)
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and become a project manager with the support of a mentor.
