Job summary

The City of Timmins, Department: Timmins Transit, is seeking a Service Person to perform routine servicing and related duties on transit vehicles. The role supports bus operations and maintenance under the Mechanical Supervisor in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities include servicing, fare box handling, sign installation, and maintaining transit stops and shelters. Requirements include Grade 12, a valid Ontario CZ/BZ license, and CVOR knowledge.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalency.
• Ontario Driver’s License Class CZ or BZ (valid).
• Current and clear driver’s abstract.
• Knowledge of CVOR requirements.
• Knowledge of names and locations of City Streets.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and cleaning of transit vehicles.
• Bus change-offs as required.
• Sign installation.
• Fare box handling.
• Maintaining transit property (stops and shelters).
• Other related tasks as assigned.
