Job summary

The City of Timmins, Department: Timmins Transit, is seeking a Service Person to perform routine servicing and related duties on transit vehicles. The role supports bus operations and maintenance under the Mechanical Supervisor in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities include servicing, fare box handling, sign installation, and maintaining transit stops and shelters. Requirements include Grade 12, a valid Ontario CZ/BZ license, and CVOR knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current and clear driver’s abstract.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalency
• Applicant must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License Class "CZ" or "BZ"
• Current and clear Driver’s Abstract
• Knowledge and understanding of Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) requirements
• Good knowledge of the names and locations of City Streets
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
