Qualifications

  • 3 years of staff scheduling experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or training capacity

  • Minimum 3 years knowledge of Human Resources including Collective Agreements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Languages other than English (French) are an asset

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Provincial Schedule Standards Manager, the Training and Sustainment Specialist is responsible for providing input and feedback to the Lead and Manager, implementing and evaluating training for the Integrated Scheduling Services. This includes standardized scheduling processes, training materials, training delivery, and providing support to scheduling operations in the zones.

The Training and Sustainment Specialist strives to build relationships across the organization through enabling and providing tools to all levels of leaders and staff under the direction of the Provincial Scheduling Services team. Essential components of this position include creativity, interpersonal skills, professional development, communication, relationship-building, and change management so as to provide effective guidance through improvements in staff scheduling.

The Training and Sustainment Specialist is able to combine a knowledge of the current scheduling processes and collective agreement standards that are in place; with the needs of the operational units/areas that their training team supports. This role requires travel throughout the assigned zone, and perhaps at times throughout the province to build key relationships with the managers within the zone and scheduling offices, Employees within the zone, Human Resources Teams, and Labour Relations.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Baccalaureate degree in related field such as Business Administration or Education or equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in staff scheduling with 1 years in a supervisory or training capacity required
  • Experience with scheduling software required
  • Minimum of 3 years knowledge and experience in Human Resources (including Collective Agreements) required
  • Knowledge of the environment, Scheduling practices and time reporting processes preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Long Assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 18 months
  • Location will be determined based on the Successful Candidate
  • Travel to perform training sessions in hospitals and other sites within the province required
  • Evenings and weekends may be required
  • This position offers a offers a hybrid/work from home model
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Scale Type: Non-Union
Band: NU03
Hourly Rate: $33.34- $40.84
Annual Salary: $65,006 - $79,633
