Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Training and Sustainment Specialist to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of scheduling training across the Integrated Scheduling Services. This role focuses on standardized processes, materials, and supporting scheduling operations.

The position requires travel within the province, strong communication, and change management skills, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to partner with HR and Labour Relations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of staff scheduling experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or training capacity
• Experience with scheduling software
• Minimum 3 years knowledge of Human Resources including Collective Agreements
• Excellent communication skills
• Languages other than English (French) are an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide input and feedback to Lead and Manager; implement and evaluate training for Integrated Scheduling Services
• Develop training materials and deliver training; support scheduling operations across zones
• Build relationships across the organization; enable tools for leaders and staff under the Provincial Scheduling Services team
• Travel throughout the assigned zone and possibly the province to build key relationships with managers, HR, and Labour Relations
• Support change management initiatives to improve staff scheduling processes
