Job summary

ShawenimAbinoojii in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a Training Coordinator to plan, schedule and coordinate training programs. Reporting to the Training & Development Manager, the role focuses on ensuring employees receive the training they need to enhance skills and performance.

This full-time, permanent position offers competitive benefits and opportunities to work within a First Nations-led service model. Travel to communities may be required and proficiency with Teams or Zoom is valued.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of training experience.
  • Experience coordinating training events and workshops.
  • Experience maintaining training records and reports.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Problem solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of virtual meeting and training platforms (Teams/Zoom).
  • Flexible hours and travel as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Indigenous perspectives and First Nations culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Clear criminal records check, adult and child abuse checks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule employee training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Maintain training calendars and communicate schedules to participants.
  • Assist in identifying organizational training needs.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations and other learning materials.
  • Arrange training venues, equipment and logistics.
  • Track employee participation and training completion records.
  • Manage and update training log for all employees.
  • Assist with tracking training budget and expenses.
  • Gather feedback from participants to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Generate reports on training when required.
  • Travel to community as operationally required.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.

OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Training & Development Manager,the Training Coordinator is responsible planning, scheduling and coordinatingtraining programs. The Training Coordinator will work closely with the Trainerto ensure employees are receiving the best training to enhance their skills andperformance.
