Job summary

Orion Steel Group in Alberta is seeking a Training Coordinator to deliver frontline technical, operational, and safety training. You will lead new employee orientation, coordinate scheduling and logistics, and maintain training records across the site.

You will support the LMS, develop training materials, and act as a key resource to plant leadership to align training with business priorities and workforce development.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience in training coordination, learning & development, or a similar role.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience with training systems and continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong organization and coordination capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training systems (Workday LMS preferred).
  • Knowledge of industrial safety training programs (e.g., confined space, mobile equipment).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
