Scope Of Position

The Training Coordinator will support the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs across PERI Canada’s five locations. This role ensures all employees receive timely, effective training aligned with safety, operational excellence, and professional development goals. The position serves as a resource for new hires and collaborates closely with HR, Operations, H&S, and department leaders to foster continuous learning. You will play a key role in advancing our company culture and core values through onboarding and daily interactions.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day
Training Program Development & Delivery
  • Coordinate onboarding and job-specific training, ensuring alignment with PERI standards.
  • Support development and rollout of technical, safety, leadership, and soft skills training programs.
  • Schedule and facilitate in-person, on-the-job, and virtual training sessions.
  • Maintain up-to-date training materials with subject matter experts and HR.
Compliance & Record-Keeping
  • Track training records in LMS and other tools.
  • Monitor mandatory training and send reminders.
  • Prepare compliance reports for audits.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with trainers, providers, and vendors.
  • Work with managers to identify training needs.
  • Support HR development plans.
Continuous Improvement
  • Gather feedback to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices.
Support For Strategic Projects
  • Assist with corporate training initiatives.
  • Support national training events and webinars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Training & Development, or related field.
  • 1+ years’ experience in training or HR, preferably in construction, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and LMS platforms.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and identify training needs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Process improvement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
