Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed
  • Set up closures with signage, barricades, cones, and lane markings
  • Maintain and monitor traffic closures safely
  • Remove and relocate traffic equipment as needed
  • Perform flagging activities to direct vehicles and foot traffic safely
  • Complete daily traffic inspections and reports
  • Safely operate the buffer truck
Qualifications:
  • Experience in traffic control in high-traffic environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively
  • Physical ability to stand long periods, move equipment, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
Work Conditions
  • Field-based position from May to November 2025
  • Flexibility to work across Alberta
  • Long shifts (10–14 hours), including nights and overtime
  • Living-out allowance of $140/day
  • Preference for candidates with RV or trailer; camp area with hookups provided
