Essential Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols
  • Set up closures with signage, barricades, cones, and lane markings
  • Maintain and monitor traffic closures safely
  • Remove and relocate traffic equipment as needed
  • Perform flagging duties to direct vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians
  • Complete daily traffic inspections and reports
  • Operate the buffer truck safely
Qualifications:
  • Experience in traffic control in high-traffic environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitasking effectively
  • Physical ability to stand long periods, handle traffic equipment, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
Work Conditions:
  • Position from May to November 2025, field-based across Alberta
  • Shift rotations of 10–14 hours, including nights and overtime
  • Living-out allowance of $140/day; preference for candidates with RV or trailer, as camp with hookups is provided
