Job summary

College of the North Atlantic (Bay St. George Campus) seeks an instructional support professional to assist with planning, preparing, and delivering hands-on instruction across multiple technical programs.

You will help maintain shop and classroom environments and set up equipment to meet instructional goals in a shared shop setting. Collaborating with instructors to enhance learning outcomes and using simulators when appropriate are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Completion of Journeyperson Certification in one of Automotive Service Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Heavy Equipment Operator, Truck Transport Mechanic, Mobile Crane Technician, or Power Sports Service Technician.
• Recent, relevant, trade-specific industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in planning, preparing, and delivering instruction to students in various technical programs.
• Prepare and maintain classroom and shop environment to deliver program content.
• Set up equipment to support instructional objectives within a shared shop environment.
• Collaborate with instructors to enhance delivery of training and outcomes, including simulators.
• Set a professional example and communicate effectively with students, ensuring a safe learning environment.
• Perform other duties related to providing quality student-centered instruction.
