Previous teaching experience or related experience in the delivery of educational program or training adults would be an asset, but not required. If you’ve coached apprentices, trained coworkers, or shared your knowledge on the shop floor, you already have valuable experience to build on.
NOTE: Two years of your training will be counted towards the educational requirements and cannot be included as part of your occupational experience.
Faculty salaries currently range from approximately $81,760 to $104,267 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

This role combines shop instruction with modern teaching tools and blended learning approaches, including in-class, online, and off‑site instruction, as well as occasional evening and weekend sessions.
As a condition of employment, you are required to provide proof of a valid Red Seal certification, including your Red Seal number for verification with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, prior to your start date.
As a condition of employment, Faculty at NSCC must complete a part‑time adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status, all probationary, full or part‑time Faculty of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full‑time Faculty whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
Candidates selected for interviews will be expected to provide at least three recent occupational references. The successful candidate will be expected to provide official transcripts to show proof of academic achievements.
