A leading marine transportation company in North Vancouver is seeking a Trades Coordinator to support the Trades Superintendent. This full-time, permanent role involves managing training programs, maintaining records in the Learning Management System, and maintaining strong relationships with trades employees. The ideal candidate has a business or HR background, excellent communication, and organizational skills. The Trades Coordinator supports the Trades Superintendent for a specific trade or group of trades by coordinating with the HR Business Partner and Workforce Development team to manage the overall administration of the trade group. Reporting to the Director of Workforce Development, this role maintains a strong working relationship with the Trades Superintendent and regularly liaises with the hourly trades workforce, HR teams, and Trades Management to ensure the workforce is effectively supported and mobilized. The position handles routine activities independently and seeks guidance only for exceptions or non-standard matters.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on‑site based at our Operations Center at 50 Pemberton Avenue in North Vancouver.
The estimated salary for this position is $84,600‑$103,400. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

This position may involve defense articles and/or technical data regulated by the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the U.S. Arms Export Control Act. In compliance with ITAR, the successful candidate will be subject to a security clearance through the Canadian Controlled Goods Program as regulated by the Controlled Goods Regulations and Defense Production Act. The successful candidate will be required to maintain their security clearance throughout their employment in this position.
