Kal Tire in Nanaimo, BC is hiring a Tire Technician to support daily service work in the shop. You will install, repair, rotate, and balance tires, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

This temporary full-time/part-time role offers hands-on training, a collaborative team, and opportunities to gain experience in the automotive industry at a busy Island Highway location.

Qualifications

• Previous tire technician or automotive experience or training.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and stay active.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Team-oriented with a practical, safety-first approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires.
• Safely operate tire service equipment and tools.
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify required services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Support the team to keep workflow efficient and on schedule.
