Job summary

Kal Tire in Central Saanich, BC is seeking a Tire Technician to support daily shop service tasks, including installing, removing, rotating, balancing, and repairing tires. You’ll operate tire service tools and inspect vehicles, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace with a team that takes pride in doing the job right.

This temporary contract offers both full-time and part-time hours, and hands-on training to build confidence and practical skills in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• Experience or training as a tire technician or automotive technician is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly and stay active through shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Team-oriented with a safety-first approach.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires.
• Safely operate tire service equipment and tools.
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify required services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Support the team to keep workflow efficient and on schedule.
