Kal Tire in Nelson, BC is seeking a Tire Technician to join the shop team. You will install, repair, and maintain tires, rotate, balance, and support safe, efficient service while working on a variety of vehicles.

This temporary role offers both full-time and part-time hours for the contract duration. Candidates should have tire or automotive experience, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a practical, safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous tire technician or automotive experience or training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly and stay active throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Team-oriented with a practical, safety-first approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires.
• Safely operate tire service equipment and tools.
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify required services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Support the team to keep workflow efficient and on schedule.
