Job summary

Fountain Tire Edmonton (Callingwood) is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate and repair tires and wheels, while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in tires or automotive is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Knowledge of passenger and light truck tires and wheels is an asset.
• Strong customer-service focus with ability to build relationships.
• Keen attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide a satisfactory abstract.
• Basic computer skills and ability to lift 25 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks.
• Reset and repair TPMS as needed.
• Maintain tire service equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Complete specialty tire work (studding, retread, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and teammates.

Overview

Fountain Tire Edmonton (Callingwood) is looking for a responsible, safe, and motivated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous tire/automotive experience would be great, however we are willing to train positive and motivated individuals
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
