Job summary

Fountain Tire Edmonton Downtown is hiring an Automotive Tire Technician to install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks. You will also service TPMS and help maintain equipment in a clean, safe shop environment.

We offer competitive wages, between $18 and $22 per hour with monthly bonuses, plus health, dental, and vision plans and family RRSP matching. Opportunities for advancement and training are available in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Prior tire experience is preferred but training is available for motivated individuals.
• Customer-service focus with ability to develop relationships with customers and team.
• Must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks.
• Reset and service TPMS.
• Maintain and calibrate tire service equipment as scheduled.
• Perform specialty tire work (studding, retread, nitrogen, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers.

Fountain Tire Edmonton Downtown (10180 - 105 St), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an experiencedAutomotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous tire experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
