Job summary

Fountain Tire Swift Current is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate and repair tires for passenger and light trucks, service TPMS, and keep equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Reset and repair TPMS.
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular basis.
• Perform specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen).
• Assist inventory management through documentation and counts.
• Maintain safe work practices for yourself and coworkers.

Overview

Fountain Tire Swift Current (1800 South Service Rd W), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
