Job summary

Fountain Tire Edmonton Downtown is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join a friendly team. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires, service TPMS, and help keep equipment and inventory organized in a clean, safe shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in tire service is an asset but training will be provided
• Working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires is an asset
• Customer-service focus with ability to build relationships
• Keen attention to detail and safety mindful
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract required
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms regularly

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Reset and repair TPMS
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular schedule
• Complete specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen) as needed
• Assist inventory management through documentation and counts
• Prioritize safety for self and coworkers

Fountain Tire Edmonton Downtown (10180 - 105 St), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an experienced Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous tire experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
