Job Description:
The Tool & Equipment Specialist (field) is responsible for all Tool & Equipment sales activity within the assigned geographic area. The Specialist will be tasked with maintaining & growing market share of Worldpac’s Tool & Equipment Services (TES) by leveraging product training, demo tools and leads provided by the sales teams.
Drive growth in Tool & Equipment sales for the assigned geographical territory through in-person visits and phone calls to prospective TES customers.
Qualifies Tool & Equipment leads provided by the sales teams and travels throughout assigned territory to display / demonstrate products and programs as needed.
Timely follow up is expected for all inbound TES inquiries and requests.
Serve as a subject matter expert on WORLDPAC’s Tool & Equipment offerings.
Maintains expense accounts, demo tool inventory, sales quote activity, schedule and activity logs.
Lead generation through in-person cold calling in assigned territory as needed.
Essential Job Skills
Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills are needed. Organizational and prioritization skills are also needed to ensure all leads are explored in a timely fashion.
Capable of using basic business mathematics and issuing accurately priced quotes for Tool & Equipment products & services.
Comfortable performing on-site demos on a range of TES products such as diagnostic scan tools, induction tools, TPMS tools
Ability to strategically troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain to customer satisfaction.
Working knowledge of equipment sales within the traditional automotive aftermarket, including WorldPac products and services.
Requirements
4-6 years of automotive aftermarket related sales or automotive equipment sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years’ experience in automotive industry preferred
This is field based position; Travel required in local market (as needed), out of market travel in territory approximately 1-2 weeks per month (as needed)
Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
Able to effectively use Microsoft Office.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Eligible to work in the United States.a

1-3 years of related experience.
Bilingual is a plus.

Education
Highschool diploma, or GED equivalent.
Associates degree preferred.
